Constmach has successfully installed a combined crushing, screening and washing plant for a customer in Serbia, delivering an integrated solution for efficient, high-quality aggregate production. The plant brings crushing, classification and washing together in one coordinated line, ensuring clean, well-shaped products while making careful use of water.

An Integrated Processing Line

The plant unites several stages of aggregate production into a single, efficient system. Material is crushed, screened, washed and dewatered in a continuous flow, allowing the customer to take raw feed through to finished, market-ready products on site. This integration improves efficiency, reduces handling and ensures consistent quality from start to finish.

Effective Crushing and Screening

A cone crusher provides effective material reduction, producing well-shaped aggregate from the feed stone, while a vibrating screen with an integrated washing system classifies the material and removes impurities. Together they ensure the output is both accurately sized and clean, meeting the standards required for premium concrete and construction applications.

Advanced Washing and Water Recovery

The line includes a dewatering screen and hydrocyclone that optimise water usage and recover fine materials that would otherwise be lost. This not only improves the yield of valuable fine sand but also enhances sustainability by reducing water consumption and waste. Efficient water management is increasingly important for responsible aggregate production.

High-Capacity Mobile Washing

The installation also features SW-2060 screening and washing capability rated at around 200 tons per hour. Equipped with a 700 x 7,000 mm screw washer and a large 2,000 x 6,000 mm vibrating screen, it provides effective washing and thorough screening for high-quality aggregates, with a design that supports efficient, on-site operation.

Clean Aggregate for Quality Concrete

By thoroughly washing and classifying the material, the plant produces clean sand and aggregate ideal for quality concrete and construction. Removing clay, silt and dust is essential for durable concrete, and the plant's combined capabilities ensure the finished products consistently meet specification, helping the customer supply premium material to the Serbian market.

Expanding Constmach's Global Reach

With this installation, Constmach continues to expand its global presence, delivering high-performance solutions for the construction and mining industries. The plant will support infrastructure projects across Serbia by providing top-quality aggregates. Constmach managed the project as a complete solution and wishes its client a successful, productive operation for many years to come.

Sustainable Aggregate Processing

A key strength of this plant is how efficiently it manages water. The dewatering screen and hydrocyclone recover valuable fine material and reduce water consumption, making the operation both more productive and more sustainable. Combined with effective crushing, screening and washing, this allows the customer to produce clean, high-quality aggregate while minimising waste. For Serbia's construction sector, where demand for premium material continues to rise, such an efficient, responsible processing line is a genuine competitive advantage.

What Are the Components of an Asphalt Plant? What Do They Do?

An asphalt plant consists of cold feed bins that dose the aggregate, a burner-fired drying drum that dries and heats it, a hot elevator and screen that lift and separate the hot material, weigh hoppers and a twin-shaft mixer that blend it with bitumen and mineral filler, heated bitumen tanks and a filler silo that supply those binders, a baghouse that captures dust, a storage silo that holds the finished mix, and a control cabin that manages the whole plant.

What Is an Asphalt Plant? How Does It Work Step by Step?

An asphalt plant is an industrial facility that dries and heats aggregates, then blends them with bitumen and mineral filler in precise proportions to produce hot mix asphalt (HMA). The process runs step by step: cold feed dosing, drying in a burner-fired drum, screening and weighing, mixing, and finally storage or truck load-out. Mixing takes place at roughly 140-180°C, and plants are built as batch (discrete) or drum (continuous) types.
