CONSTMACH Stationary Crushing & Screening Plant Commissioned in Albania

AuthorConstmachPublishedApril 26, 2021Constmach has taken a stationary crushing and screening plant into operation for a customer in Albania, adding a high-quality aggregate-production facility to the country's construction sector. The 150 tph fixed plant has been assembled on site, brought through trial production and handed over with full operator training, ready for dependable, long-term service.
A 150 tph Fixed Crushing Line
With a capacity of 150 tons per hour, the plant is sized to supply a steady volume of well-graded aggregate for concrete, asphalt and general construction use. As a fixed installation, it is built for continuous, high-throughput operation, giving the customer a reliable, permanent source of processed material to support ongoing projects across the region.
Primary Impact Crushing
The first stage of the line is a CPI 1412 primary impact crusher, which reduces raw, blasted stone into manageable, intermediate-sized material. Impact crushing is highly effective at producing cubical, well-shaped particles from the outset, establishing a strong foundation for the rest of the process and ensuring high-quality feed for the subsequent crushing stage.
Tertiary Impact Crushing for a Fine Finish
Material then passes to a CTC 1212 tertiary impact crusher, which refines the aggregate into the final, precisely shaped products. This second impact stage improves particle shape and increases the proportion of fine, premium fractions, allowing the customer to produce aggregate that meets demanding specifications for concrete and asphalt production.
Commissioned and Ready to Produce
Constmach completed the project as a full turnkey delivery: the plant was assembled, trial production was carried out to confirm correct operation, and the customer's operators were trained to run the equipment properly. This thorough commissioning ensures the plant performs to specification from the start. The installation reinforces Constmach's role as a dependable supplier of complete crushing and screening solutions in Albania.
Quality Aggregate for Regional Projects
By pairing primary and tertiary impact crushing, the plant produces aggregate that is both well graded and cubically shaped — qualities highly valued in concrete and asphalt production. This allows the customer to supply premium material to construction projects across the region, adding value compared with unprocessed or poorly shaped stone. As a fixed installation, the plant offers the throughput and stability needed for a commercial aggregate operation. With trial production completed and operators trained, the customer is well positioned to meet local demand reliably and to build a strong reputation for consistent, high-quality output.

What Are the Components of an Asphalt Plant? What Do They Do?
An asphalt plant consists of cold feed bins that dose the aggregate, a burner-fired drying drum that dries and heats it, a hot elevator and screen that lift and separate the hot material, weigh hoppers and a twin-shaft mixer that blend it with bitumen and mineral filler, heated bitumen tanks and a filler silo that supply those binders, a baghouse that captures dust, a storage silo that holds the finished mix, and a control cabin that manages the whole plant.

What Is an Asphalt Plant? How Does It Work Step by Step?
An asphalt plant is an industrial facility that dries and heats aggregates, then blends them with bitumen and mineral filler in precise proportions to produce hot mix asphalt (HMA). The process runs step by step: cold feed dosing, drying in a burner-fired drum, screening and weighing, mixing, and finally storage or truck load-out. Mixing takes place at roughly 140-180°C, and plants are built as batch (discrete) or drum (continuous) types.
