CONSTMACH 250 tph Fixed Screening & Washing Plant Commissioned in Serbia

AuthorConstmachPublishedApril 30, 2020Constmach has taken a 250 tph capacity fixed screening and washing plant into operation for a customer in Serbia, delivering high performance and strong results. The plant gives the customer a robust, permanent facility for producing clean, well-classified aggregate and washed sand to meet demanding construction requirements.
High-Capacity Aggregate Washing
With a capacity of 250 tons per hour, the plant is sized for serious, commercial-scale production. Washing and screening at this volume allows the customer to supply large quantities of clean aggregate and sand, essential for quality concrete and construction work. As a fixed installation, it provides the stability and throughput needed for continuous, reliable operation.
Four-Deck Vibrating Screen
At the heart of the plant is a CVS-2060 vibrating screen with four decks, allowing the material to be separated into several precise size fractions in a single pass. Multi-deck screening maximises the range of finished products the customer can offer and ensures each meets specification, adding value and flexibility to the operation.
Effective Screw Washing
The plant is equipped with a CHY 75 screw washer, which cleans the aggregate by removing clay, silt and other impurities. Screw washers are highly effective at producing clean, high-quality sand and are valued for their durability and efficient water use. This washing capability is key to meeting the strict cleanliness standards demanded in modern concrete production.
Clean, Consistent Output
By combining thorough screening with effective washing, the plant produces aggregate and sand that are both well graded and clean. This consistency is critical for downstream concrete and construction applications, where impurities or poor grading can compromise quality. The customer can therefore supply premium material with confidence, strengthening their position in the market.
Built for Continuous Duty
As a fixed plant, the facility is engineered for long, continuous operation, with robust components selected for durability and easy maintenance. This ensures dependable performance over years of service and helps the customer keep operating costs under control. Reliable uptime is essential for a commercial washing operation supplying ongoing projects.
Supporting Serbia's Construction Sector
Constmach delivered the project as a complete solution, installing the plant and supporting start-up so the customer could begin production with confidence. With high performance and good results already reported, the facility is well placed to serve Serbia's construction needs. Constmach wishes its client a successful business and a long, productive service life from the plant.
Premium Washed Aggregate at Scale
With its high 250 tph capacity, this fixed plant lets the customer supply large volumes of clean, well-graded sand and aggregate to Serbia's construction market. The four-deck screen and screw washer together produce accurately classified, thoroughly cleaned material, essential for quality concrete. As a permanent installation built for continuous duty, it provides the throughput and reliability a serious commercial washing operation needs, positioning the customer to meet rising demand for premium aggregate with confidence.

What Are the Components of an Asphalt Plant? What Do They Do?
An asphalt plant consists of cold feed bins that dose the aggregate, a burner-fired drying drum that dries and heats it, a hot elevator and screen that lift and separate the hot material, weigh hoppers and a twin-shaft mixer that blend it with bitumen and mineral filler, heated bitumen tanks and a filler silo that supply those binders, a baghouse that captures dust, a storage silo that holds the finished mix, and a control cabin that manages the whole plant.

What Is an Asphalt Plant? How Does It Work Step by Step?
An asphalt plant is an industrial facility that dries and heats aggregates, then blends them with bitumen and mineral filler in precise proportions to produce hot mix asphalt (HMA). The process runs step by step: cold feed dosing, drying in a burner-fired drum, screening and weighing, mixing, and finally storage or truck load-out. Mixing takes place at roughly 140-180°C, and plants are built as batch (discrete) or drum (continuous) types.
